We primarily tried to promote the brand on social media with original and creative content so users would get to know us and start building a following. You later worked as a SEM specialist for the marketing consultancy Thatzad. How did you experience this change?
It was a big change. But thanks to the Marketing and Market Research degree I was pursuing, I still had the opportunity to do another internship, and when I saw the opportunity, I didn't think twice. Could you tell us what the day-to-day life of an SEM specialist is like? What types of clients did you work with at Thatzad?
The routine of an SEM specialist is data. Everything is measured on the internet, and SEM is no exception. It never ceases to amaze me how something as small as a search engine text ad can have so many metrics behind it that need to be considered. In fact, my day-to-day work consists of four core tasks:

Look at different campaign metrics to make sure they're performing as well as possible and optimize them if they're not.
Analyze and compare metrics, whether comparing different periods or different campaigns. For example, a search remarketing campaign with a regular campaign, or the same remarketing campaign in different months.
Reporting and serving the client. You must show the results of your work to the client, and you must always do so with the best possible photo. You must also understand their needs, what they're looking for or hoping to achieve, and how you can help them achieve them.
Launch campaigns and try new things. Google is always releasing new betas and features, and sometimes it's a challenge to launch a type of campaign you've never tried before, but you always learn a lot, and it's one of the most fun parts.
At Thatzad, I worked primarily with e-commerce clients: shoes, clothing, handbags, etc. Although there were also clients in the tourism sector and clients in the industrial sector, which presented a real challenge. The great thing about Thatzad was that we designed the entire digital marketing strategy. We did SEM, SEO, Social Ads, Display, etc. We could use any digital channel that would help the client achieve their goals, always adapting to their needs and budget.
