UX and website usability testing - What does it give you?
The level of usability of a website should be as high as possible. Considering that each group of people is different, and the website should often look different depending on who it is aimed at, it is necessary to know its future users. If we have carefully selected them, we are only one step away from designing the service. However, we can do this only when we receive specific data about their habits, preferences and reactions, measured in natural conditions. The UX test allows us to do this using proven research methods that interactive agencies have been using for years.

Implemented UX usability test conclusions increase user satisfaction
The purpose of usability testing is to increase satisfaction with the use of a product (usually in the sense of an IT product).
To sum up the idea, a UX test provides greater amazon phone number list user satisfaction and adjustment to their preferences. These aspects are then to result in an increase in the conversion rate, increased traffic on the site, and the amount of time spent on it. All of this is to translate into profit for the company and business effects visible shortly after the implementation of the conclusions and conclusions from the usability test.

The relationship between UX testing and sales or other types of conversions
Before a company invests in a UX test, it wants to know the effects associated with the cost incurred. It is worth noting that we should only decide on a usability test when we have the opportunity to implement the conclusions resulting from it. A website usability test or audit only gives us feedback, the implementation of which will cost us additional resources and time. The good news is that the invested capital should pay off in the form of user satisfaction, more newsletter sign-ups, basket sizes, order values or other goals that the company wants to achieve. However, investing in tests just to stop there may be pointless. If we have a choice and a limited budget, a better choice would be to invest in a cheaper research method, but to leave the door open to implementing the conclusions. Only action brings results.

The effect of good usability and changes is visible mainly in online stores, where changes translate directly into sales. Users in online stores have to perform many complicated activities, starting from searching for a specific product, filtering, sometimes color configuration, placing an order, ending with making a payment. Each of them is associated with a specific effort, too much of which can result in losing motivation, inability to move on to the next stage or simply abandoning the page. The task of the designer and researchers in this situation is to increase positive feelings related to the store so much that the user moves from step to step efficiently and with satisfaction making a purchase.

A store with a high bounce rate or low cart value is a perfect example of a need in the field of user experience. Conducting a usability test and implementing the conclusions, due to improvements in product placement and website structure, should have a visible impact on the company's sales and profits.

How to conduct a UX test? - Learn about the possibilities of individual methods
There is no single, universal method to conduct a correct UX test. There are, however, a few that have been selected over the years. Each of them, in specific conditions, industry, company and appropriate budget, has a chance to provide reliable results that are a huge added value to the company. What are these methods? We have tried to select a few of them.

Task-based usability testing - The most popular method
Let's start with task-based usability testing, which is currently considered the most common and well-known method. Depending on the interactive agency, alternate names are also used, but the most important thing is to know the process itself. It consists in the fact that users selected earlier in the recruitment process are given specific tasks to perform in connection with the website or online store. In the next phase, the respondent describes their experience (sometimes they do it during the study), and the whole thing is often recorded. This allows the researchers to re-analyze the material after it has been completed.

Required resources: A program for recording the course of the examination, a computer, a camera and a separate room in the office

Duration: usually 30 to 60 minutes

Preferred number of participants: 5 - 10 people from one target group

The programs mentioned most often are Silverback, Morae or Camtasia Studio.

An example of such a test would be a situation where the researcher orders the subject to find a specific product in an online store. The respondent then makes specific movements, intuitively directs the mouse to specific locations and performs the activities in a way that is characteristic of them. During the task, the consumer's travel time is measured, their movements are recorded, as well as any reactions, in order to later modify the product. The improved version should reduce the number of problems for the consumer and lead them to the goal faster.
