Let's now move to the present.

Today, we touch our smartphones more than 2,000 times a day. Of course, few of us use our mobile phones to call someone. Most of us are texting or checking email.

Yet we still rely on our phones to search for businesses and services.

However, as phones have become smartphones, yellow pages directories have been rapidly losing their relevance; last month, following a decline in sales, Yell announced plans to completely cease production of its Yellow Pages by January 2019. As the world’s largest producer of yellow pages, this is the final nail in the coffin for the printed business directory.

The yellow pages are now officially a relic of the past. But if no one uses list of argentina whatsapp phone numbers them, where can customers find local businesses?

Without printed directories, consumers now rely almost entirely on the Internet.

In fact, 83% of consumers now find local businesses using an online search engine, and about half will visit the store they find within a day.

But while about 90% of consumers say they search for local businesses online, only 10% of small businesses have a website.

This is a recurring problem. More and more customers are looking for services online, and this trend shows no signs of slowing down. Without a website, most small businesses are simply invisible.

The old yellow pages will be replaced by a digital solution; these directories now publish listings on the Internet instead of in paper form.

But today's customers are Googling for the service they want more often than they are turning to outdated lists.

Although Yell can now advertise your business on Google, customers often spend thousands of pounds for just a handful of leads.
