Exit pop-up frequency is tricky. How often do you show it to visitors who have already closed it? What about those who clicked the 'no' option? Again, after a few experiments, we've adjusted it so that it doesn't show up again after:

1 year – For registered users
This rule works well for us, however, you can come up with your own frequency depending on a number of factors. For example, if you have the same visitors coming to your site every day, they may find daily pop-ups annoying. So, make sure you know your buyer personas, who they are and how they behave on your site, then tailor your pop-up frequency to your visitors’ expectations.
Transparent background
I believe that full-screen pop-ups that come out of nowhere can be confusing. Your visitors may think they've clicked the wrong button or been redirected somewhere from your website. While the transparent background of the pop-up is optional and up to you, it gives the viewer the confidence that they're still on your website. That's why we make sure that our visitors can still see the Chanty website via the exit pop-up.

Marketers all over the world are trying their best to communicate with their audience in a natural and non-intrusive way. As you probably know, personalization has been a big deal in marketing for at least the past few years. Like other aspects of marketing, exit pop-ups cannot leave this trend behind.
