A phone conversation will allow you to arrange a second call if the person you are calling is hesitant to agree to a meeting. You can offer additional information via email and immediately arrange another time to call. What percentage of people have ever responded to your Newsletter asking for more information and then deciding whether to agree to a meeting?
The last advantage of using the phone is that it can redirect you to the right contact person if you don't get it right the first time. Often, the person you are calling will connect you to the right person themselves, or give you a name and phone number. What more could you want than to be able to start a conversation with the sentence: "Your colleague referred me to you..."?
A telephone campaign alone won't solve your empty sales pipeline, but it's still one of the main ways to reach the right client.

Comment on the events, explain the creative process or introduce your team (as we do in the Idealab Team section ). Who will those interested in a new house meet when they come to you? Why is it a good idea to pay an architect for the author's supervision? You can pass all this on in a non-violent way and, most importantly, return to your contributions.
