For automatic budget forecasting, Yandex Direct has a "Budget forecast" function, it allows you to quickly estimate the required budget and upcoming costs by analyzing advertising campaign data and offering recommendations based on the goals and effectiveness of keywords in
the specified region.

To access this function, go to the "Tools" section in the Direct menu on the left and select "Budget forecast".

Next, select in which regions the RK will be conducted.
Please note a key aspect: advertising costs may vary depending on the region.

You can expand your keyword list by adding additional phrases suggested in the tip on the right.

On average, it is possible to include about 100 keywords due to the character limit. If this number of keys is exceeded, it is recommended to forecast in several stages.

Leave all the checkboxes as they are:
automatic correction of phrases with minus words;
Automatic stop word fixation.

Next, in the next field, enter negative words and negative phrases.

Check all required phrases and select the traffic volume.

As the traffic volume increases, the ad position increases.
For example, a traffic volume of 62 to 100 corresponds to placement in the upper ad unit, while a volume of 5 to 9 indicates placement in the lower unit. You can determine the required traffic volume based on your advertising strategy.

Click the "Calculate" button.

A preliminary calculation will appear:
Forecast of queries for the selected period - the expected number of queries entered by users;
Impression forecast - an estimate of the number of times your ads may be shown as a result of the auction;
Predicted Clicks - The expected number of times users will click on your ad based on the forecast.

The system uses estimated CTR values ​​based on expected traffic volume to perform the calculation.

Please note: The budget forecast in Yandex.Direct is approximate. The final cost varies depending on the settings of your ads, the number and quality of competitors' ads, the strategies chosen in the campaign, the effectiveness of keyword exclusion and the statistics collected. For campaigns already in operation, the rates may be significantly lower compared to recently launched ones. Therefore, the amount provided does not so much reflect upcoming expenses, as it indicates the level of demand for the product in a certain region and taking into account the selected keywords.
