The beginning of the Boca Rosa case: The story of Bianca Andrade
The businesswoman is from Rio de Janeiro and grew up in the Maré Complex. At the age of 16, the young woman developed a taste for makeup and began following various makeup tutorials on the internet to learn the art.
She was well-known among her friends because of one striking feature: pink lipstick — which was all the rage at the time. Hence the name Boca Rosa. Bianca Andrade's career began on the now-defunct Orkut, where she produced content to teach people how to apply makeup without spending a lot.
She then created a blog to share makeup tips. In 2011, she opened a YouTube channel and became famous for the “Primo Baratinho” segment, in which she showed her subscribers alternatives similar to imported items, but at more affordable prices.
In a short time, the influencer conquered Brazil and, in 2013, she was invited to have coffee with Ana Maria Braga, on Mais Você. It was in 2016 that the makeup artist joined Instagram and , today, she already has more than 17 million followers.
When the influencer started working on the social network, she diversified her career a little by investing in the production of fitness, fashion, hair content, among others.
