Find a style that's uniquely yours

Post by arafatrahman99 »

What are your talents?
As I have already anticipated, your personal brand is not limited to you, nor to what you like to do: your audience will not be attracted to you for your passions, but rather for your skills . The first step, therefore, consists in identifying what your qualities are, or rather the main strengths that can make you stand out above the competition.

Know your audience
Maybe you are a freelancer, maybe you are a mountaineer, maybe you are a chef. In any case, before you start doing personal branding, you need to know your target audience . Who makes up your audience? What is the the benefit of using our student database average age of the audience? Their gender? Their profession? And their geographical origin? What are their tastes, interests and values? There are so many methods, more or less scientific, to study your audience. To start, you can get in touch directly with part of your audience using social media, or you can be more indirect, reading what these people write on their online pages or in forums in your niche.

Some people, at this point, tell you to 'be yourself'. Well, I prefer to tell you to 'find your style'. Which, mind you, does not mean that you have to invent a public persona that is different from the one you really are: you are not Batman, nor Iron Man, even if you would certainly like that. However, you must start from your strengths, and emphasize what can make you stand out from the crowd . You must therefore find your best side, and show it to your audience, without acting or forcing the situation: remember that you will have to maintain this same style for a long time, without changing it from time to time at your pleasure. Building your personal brand, in fact, means having a coherent and recognizable online identity .
